The Game

Japanese PlayStation 2 version (VW047-J1/SLPM 65051) was released on September 27, 2001, a “Saigo no Uta” edition (VW084-J1/SLPM 65098) that contains a new Mario Sub-scenario and a new ending was released on July 4, 2002, a Konami the best version of “Saigo no Uta” (VW084-J2/SLPM 65341) was released on August 7, 2003, and a “Konami Ultimate Selection” (VW084-J4) edition was released on July 15, 2004. Japanese X-BOX version of “Saigo no Uta” (VM005-J1/EK5 00001) was released on February 22, 2002 (which was released before the PS2 Saigo no Uta).

US PlayStation 2 version (SLUS 20228) was released on September 26, 2001, a “Greatest Hits” edition (SLUS 20228GH) which is equivalent to Japanese “Saigo no Uta” edition was released on November 17, 2002. US X-BOX version is called ” Restless Dreams” (30003), it was released on December 21, 2001 and it is equivalent to Japanese “Saigo no Uta” edition. A US X-BOX Platinum Hits edition was released on February 19, 2003. A PC version (23429) was released on December 3, 2002, it is equivalent to the Japanese “Saigo no Uta” edition and additionally, you have the ability to save anywhere and playback some cut-scenes videos and trailers.

PAL PlayStation 2 version (SLES 50382) was released on November 23, 2001 as a Special 2 Disc set (which contains the game and a Making of DVD), a “Platinum Hits edition which has a sub-title “Director’s Cut” (SLES 51156) which is equivalent to Japanese “Saigo no Uta” edition was released on February 28, 2003. PAL X-BOX version is called “Inner Fears”, it was released on October 4, 2002 and it is equivalent to Japanese “Saigo no Uta” edition. A PC “Director’s Cut” edition was released on February 28, 2003 which has all the extras in the US PC version plus officially supports 5 European languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish).
