PAL Silent Hill Collection is coming, will arrive this week or the next.

Fellow fans of Silent Hill should already learnt that a Silent Hill Collection was released for PAL PS2 systems (mainly Europe I suppose), but only contains Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4. And from messages on the forums and message boards, the Silent Hill 2 is not a Director’s Cut version (i.e. Restless Dreams in US or Saigo no uta in Japan), just a plain old Silent Hill 2. A thicker box holds all 3 with their respective manuals.

But a forthcoming Japanese Complete Set will contain all 4 Silent Hills (Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2 Saigo no uta, Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill 4 The Room) in a special made case. All of them are budget re-releases, Silent Hill is PSOne Books edition, Silent Hill 2 Saigo no uta and Silent Hill 3 are Konami Ultimate Selection edition, and Silent Hill 4 The Room is Konami The Best edition. There will be an undecided special bonus to come with the Complete Set, the price is 7380 YEN (excluding tax) and it will be released on July 6, 2006 in Japan.

I am sure our fellow Silent Hill Collectors will not miss it. :)

I know some people felt stunted when it happened, and some are very disappointed. But the hard disk failure was out of my expectation, it was because of a spike of web traffic during that moment (not because of Silent Hill) and my super OLD PC Web server (a 128MB RAM Pentium 200MMX with some old SCSI drives) crashed and one of the hard disk failed. It was NOT because I was requested to take them down (I will certainly comply if it was so, but it was not).

I didn’t have backup of the movies and I had lost almost all of them, together with a couple of my image galleries. I do have some on my desktop PC but it was just a very small part of them.

A couple of very kind people offered to send me all the files that they’ve downloaded from my site (they had downloaded the full set) but I replied that I wanted to take this chance to re-record all of them, I intended to re-record and encode them in higher quality.

I am sorry that it took a long while before I started re-recording, and I do not intend the set of videos to be exhaustive as it was before. Mostly something really special or was serving someone’s requests (mostly just send it over than posting to the pages).
